Can I just say that the "critiques" people try to give on this site are pathetic? Especially in the fanart section. Like if you click on the critiques section of dA, you'll get mostly five star critiques just saying how "pretty" and "amazing" it is and then putting a bunch of random stuff just to fill up the word count minimum. And I see this ALL the time with fanart, where they literally just give a wikipedia type summary about the history of the character or the show or whatever the fanart is from and how it affected them personally and stuff. That's nice and all, and you can certainly include that, but you also have to actually talk about the artwork at some point in the critique, y'know?
Newsflash: Critiques are supposed to be actually about, y'know, the artwork? Telling the artist what you like and don't like? They aren't just some super fancy way to get your comment up there on top of everyone else's. And if you can't fill up the word limit without goofing off and writing silly stuff, then you aren't thinking in depth enough about the artwork to actually be giving a critique! Just sayin'.

Woot! dA's finally working on a mobile app! They just had me take a survey about it. I basically said that I would want to use it purely for the messaging features. Not really much you would be uploading from a phone anyway.

I didn't want to resort to naming names, but this is getting ridiculous. This girl MoonLuna18, can NOT get over the fact that I blocked her recently, and it's really getting frustrating. It's been nearly a week now of her begging and whining to my friends and others about how mean I am and begging others to talk to me for her and crap. I agree with you 100%, I'm always looking for meaningful critiques. I may not get it all the time but I'm grateful for at least getting feedback.
