I just watched the most recent Mickey short and the Walt reference at the end is so cute! blogs.disney.com/oh-my-disney/…
(I also find it hilarious all the people whining about Mickey being ruined because he's actually acting like his old self rather than the corny watered-down goody-goody Mickey they are used to. Pffft!)
Pffft
Lol at all the people on DA's April Fools journal! The prank is cute and all but people actually believed it?! How naïve do you have to be? lol Just goes to show how young the majority of DA actually is.
dA's FINALLY developing a mobile app!
Woot! dA's finally working on a mobile app! They just had me take a survey about it. I basically said that I would want to use it purely for the messaging features. Not really much you would be uploading from a phone anyway.
Pixar just announced an Incredibles sequel!
Woot! The only Pixar film that I actually would really like to see a sequel to! And with all the new CGI techniques they’ve developed over the years since then, just imagine how amazing it will look! For example, back then, just Violet’s hair was super hard for them to figure out. But now they’ve done Merida’s crazy hair, so just imagine how it’ll look now!))
Writing Critiques
Can I just say that the "critiques" people try to give on this site are pathetic? Especially in the fanart section. Like if you click on the critiques section of dA, you'll get mostly five star critiques just saying how "pretty" and "amazing" it is and then putting a bunch of random stuff just to fill up the word count minimum. And I see this ALL the time with fanart, where they literally just give a wikipedia type summary about the history of the character or the show or whatever the fanart is from and how it affected them personally and stuff. That's nice and all, and you can certainly include that, but you also have to actually talk about

As I wrote in my journal. Part of why was domesticated was because his Scrapper traits were given to Donald literally reducing Mickey to being a straight man character.
I've always Mickey having an Everyman personality where he makes mistakes and finds a way to reddem himself if he knows he did something to hurt someone like say Oswald without really meaning to.
He's still Mickey. Just more fleshed out as a character.
